Frequently Asked Questions

Once available for registration, each trip will have a link to register at the bottom of the trip details.

Adults can participate in any trip (note: we do require a background check as part of the application process).

Minors can also participate on a case-by-case basis with at least one parent but please contact Jon Crowe by email at jon@exit137.org before registering to ensure we can accommodate that situation.

In the summer we aim to have a trip designed for high school students where older students can sometimes participate without a parent.

Once confirmed, the cost of the trip is shown in the trip details below.

For our church members, we offset the cost through our “First Fruits” offering. This varies depending on the total cost of the trip but begins at $300 off the trip cost. However, this cost offset is only available for two trips in a year. The cost offset is included in the “members cost” figure for each trip.

The total trip cost includes airfare and/or ground transport to and from the airport. It also includes in-country transportation (unless traveling off-schedule), accommodation, meals, emergency medical, evacuation assistance, and visa fees if necessary.

The trip cost does not include passport costs, immunizations, medications, personal baggage charges, trip cancellation insurance, airfare add-ons, airport meals, snacks, souvenirs, etc.

For trips with an airfare, once the ticket is purchased that is the responsibility of the participant whether they travel or not. Generally, tickets can be cancelled for an e-credit with the airline in the name of the person who was ticketed. This e-credit can normally be used at any time in the next year towards another ticket.

Please get in touch with Jon by email jon@exit137.org if you have any questions about vaccinations.

We require standard US childhood vaccinations for mission trips. These include MMR, DTaP and Polio. An up-to-date tetanus shot (every 10 years) is recommended. No other vaccinations are necessary for domestic trips.

For international trips, the CDC generally recommends vaccinations for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. They may recommend additional vaccinations for some countries.

As noted above, all immunization costs are the responsibility of the participant.

BELIZE MISSION TRIPS OVERVIEW

Cornerstone works in close partnership with All 4 Jesus Belize (A4JB) in the Stann Creek district of Belize. Previously known as Kidz Konnect 4 Jesus, this ministry was founded with the support and guidance of Cornerstone. We currently support the Zittle family who are based in Silk Grass, Belize.

A4JB’s ministry consists of Christian education in Belizean schools, feeding programs, family ministry, discipleship, skill training, and medical clinics. Since 2011, Cornerstone has been sending quarterly medical teams to Belize for the clinics under the direction of one of our elders, Dr. Ed Behling.

During these quarterly trips, medical professionals from Cornerstone and other A4JB partner churches provide much-needed medical care in the Stann Creek district of Belize. For many Belizeans in this district, the A4JB clinics serve as their primary non-emergency medical care. Hundreds of patients are seen during these clinics and we are able to have Gospel and discipleship conversations with many of them!

Accommodation, meals and transport in country are all provided by A4JB during these trips and the team stays at Camp Legacy which is a private property operated by the organization.

Medical experience is not necessary to participate in these trips.
