Hebrews 10:24-25 gives us this challenge:
“And let us consider how to stir up
one another to love and good
works, not neglecting to meet together
as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another,
and all the more as
you see the Day drawing near.”

These verses remind us that the goal of our Christian faith is to put Jesus on display through our lives. And, for this to happen, we need to be actively growing in our faith through the study of God’s word.

Classes are held on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30PM.

PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP AT CORNERSTONE:

Discipleship is very important here at Cornerstone. Our mission statement is “Sharing Christ. Sharing Life.” Our desire is for everyone who enters our doors to encounter Christ, come to know Christ in a personal way, and commit to following Christ in every aspect of life. Discipleship is a life-long journey of knowing Christ and following Christ in this life, while we look with anticipation to being with Him in eternity. This is a process that is most effectively done in community with other believers, just like Jesus did with His 12 disciples and the other disciples that followed along with Him during His earthly ministry. We want to help facilitate your discipleship journey with the following suggested pathway. We acknowledge that you can choose other pathways in your own journey, but we would love to come alongside you with resources that are proven to benefit you as a growing disciple of Jesus Christ.

  1. Aspire A 10-week journey of discipleship offered in every session of CATALYST and taken with another disciple who has been through this resource. Going through Aspire first will give you a valuable foundation and understanding of the gospel and the redemption story of the Bible. (See below for more information.)
  2. How to Study the Bible – A 4-week study offered annually that will give you a workable method of studying your Bible with greater understanding. You will be taught a method of reading the Scriptures that will bring the Bible to life, as you learn to interpret the scriptures correctly, yourself.
  3. Key Doctrines of the Faith – Offered annually, this is a 6-week study of the essential doctrines of our Christian faith, which will add another layer of understanding about what we believe and why we believe it.
  4. How to Share Your Faith – A 4-week study, offered annually, that will provide you with the necessary tools to live and share your faith. You will learn how to verbalize your testimony and share the key components of the gospel with someone else.
  5. Twice a year, in the winter/spring and the fall, we offer a variety of classes—various studies of books of the Bible, Christian book studies, and pertinent topical studies. These classes vary according to topic and length. We offer childcare (Babies-6th grade) for those who need it. These courses will expand your knowledge of the Bible, while allowing you to connect with new people from your Cornerstone family.

If at all possible, we suggest that you use this pathway in this particular order. This will optimize your discipleship journey. Of course, if you miss a class or study in any given session, feel free to take them out of order.
